Table lamp with a fluted crystal column.
THE STORY
A column of fluted optical crystal set between polished brass caps, under a wide ivory linen shade. Lit, the flutes catch and split the light down the whole length of the column. Unlit, it still holds the eye — which is the harder test for a lamp.
WHY WE CHOSE IT
Crystal-based lamps are usually either very traditional or very cheap-looking. The straight fluted column sidesteps both.
